adesso receives three-year framework contract from Helvetia for a new
broker sales solution

Headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, the German directorate of Swiss insurer
Helvetia has concluded a three-year framework contract with adesso AG with
a volume of several million euros for developing a forward-looking sales
solution. The project to further enhance service quality for brokers and
sales agents has a number of objectives, such as combining existing partner
extranets and enhancing their functions as part of a multi-channel sales
strategy. It will also entail the development of mobile applications which
enable brokers to use a wide range of end devices, such as tablet computers
or smartphones, to access key services and functions. The broker channel is
the most important source of sales at Helvetia - the Swiss insurer works
with over 8,000 brokers, multiple general agents and associated agents.
adesso will assume responsibility for a large number of different tasks
within the scope of the project, ranging from project management and
designing the component and IT architecture to creating technical
components and structuring change management processes. Integrated to an
impressive degree, the solution will incorporate an ergonomically optimized
user interface concept in addition to a large number of enhancements within
the sales process right through to contract management. A single sign-on
function will provide role- and user-specific access to data, enabling
users to access up-to-date data on customers and contracts whenever they
need it and regardless of their location. It will even be possible to
access this data via mobile end devices.
By integrating processes and developing new concepts, the insurance company
will put into practice a number of measures for the automated,
industrial-scale handling of data. These will, in turn, further optimize
the quality of Helvetia's services and enhance cooperation between the
insurer and its sales partners. Helvetia's choice of adesso as its partner
was due to the IT service provider's extensive experience in the field of
designing and creating portals and mobile solutions, in addition to its
in-depth understanding of the sector, and of the insurance segment in
particular.
