Singer/Songwriters Recording Contest Showcase: Deadline Extended
(firmenpresse) - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/18/13 -- Some of Canada's most promising singer/songwriters will compete for $7,500 in prizes on July 28th at the Singer/Songwriters Recording Contest Showcase in Etobicoke, Ontario.
The deadline for online entries has been extended to July 22nd, 2013, and live auditions will take place at The Rockpile Club between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on July 28, 2013.
The event is sponsored by Toronto-based John Lennon Records, Etobicoke's The Rockpile nightclub, Slak Productions, Wal-Mart Canada, the Danielz Group, and Future Shop.
The top three winners will be featured on a compilation CD, which will be available worldwide through digital distribution and will be promoted to radio stations.
Special guest performers for the evening will include multiple award-nominated entertainer Redme Heddub and Dennis Walton, who has received airplay on more than 100 radio stations.
The Showcase kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on July 28th at The Rockpile nightclub, 5555a Dundas Street West in Etobicoke. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, and can be purchased from or The Rockpile nightclub (416-504-6699).
