Tervita Begins Immediate Recovery of Town of High River in Partnership with Province
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/18/13 -- Tervita Corporation will begin the immediate clean up and safe recovery of the Town of High River under a $45-million contract with the Government of Alberta.
Tervita crews will begin today to assess flood-related damage to the Town of High River and will focus on priority projects determined by the province in collaboration with town officials. Work has already begun in residential communities.

"We will work closely with the town and the province - as well as local residents - over the coming months to set a solid foundation to rebuild the community for the future."
Beginning today, Tervita teams of highly-skilled environmental professionals will focus on three key areas:

More than 100 Tervita employees will be on the ground in High River and more are expected to be added as work progresses. Recruiting local contractors and individuals will be a priority in the recovery efforts. Specialized equipment to assist in dewatering, demolition and deconstruction, waste management and civil earthworks, will be brought to High River from Tervita's operations across Canada.
