The Fraser Institute: Media Advisory-How Much Taxpayer Money Did Industry Canada Hand Out to Businesses Since 1961? Report Coming Tuesday, July 23

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/22/13 -- The Fraser Institute will release a new study revealing the extent of Industry Canada's taxpayer-funded subsidies to business over the past five decades, on Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern).

Using data from an Access-to-Information request to Industry Canada, Crony Capitalism at Industry Canada since John Diefenbaker examines payments made by the federal department of industry (or its predecessors) to business between 1961 and 2012, with figures adjusted for inflation to 2012 dollars.
