ATC 2011: Obliged to safe KVM solutions
(PresseBox) - The Guntermann & Drunck GmbH accommodate the importance of crucial safety features in ATC applications. They developed a KVM product line especially designed for the high requirements of the ATC sector. These products as well as many approved ones can be viewed from March 8-10 at this year's ATC Global in Amsterdam.
The German manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH will show a large number of live product applications with a special focus on high security products. Their functional range is unique to both the KVM and the ATC market. The products are safe in all respects because they are uniquely designed according to the art of engineering required for the ATC sector. On the hardware side, the devices supply multiple internal redundancies. For safe and stable operation, they offer special safety and monitoring features to continuously keep track of the hardware's functional capability.
These products monitor themselves as well as their connection within their IT surrounding. Preventive monitoring helps avoiding that a system all of a sudden does not respond. A web interface displays the system status and, most importantly, critical device conditions. The functional range of these products does not only contain monitoring but also informing tasks as they forward electronic alerts automatically to the responsible person. In case some values fall below the limit, a Syslog message will be sent immediately. Alternatively, SNMP can be used to actively send or request alerts.
