ISCS Furthers Commitment to Cloud With Creation of New Executive Position
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/13 -- Insurance solutions developer , creator of the SurePower Innovation® Policy Administration Suite, furthered its commitment to cloud-based solutions for core insurance systems with the creation of a new executive position focused on cloud initiatives. ISCS is pleased to announce the hiring of cloud platform development expert Michael Truong as Senior Director of Cloud Technology. The creation of the position and recruiting of Truong align with ISCS's corporate vision that core systems in the cloud will be essential requirements for property and casualty insurers to stay competitive. Two-thirds of ISCS's new insurer clients in the past three years have opted for cloud deployment of their core systems.
At cloud pioneer Saavis, Michael Truong served as a cloud infrastructure architect on the incubation team for the Symphony infrastructure as a service (IaaS) project. Symphony was rated by Gartner as the #1 enterprise IaaS solution in 2010, and some analysts credited the offering as the motivation for the acquisition of Saavis in 2011. Most recently, at start-up Appcara, Truong worked in the development of the first fully automated applications management platform for datacenters and enterprises. ISCS sees Truong's experience as directly applicable to building the next generation of the ISCS private cloud and leveraging emerging opportunities in use of public clouds.
