Renaissance Zurich Hotel Joins Sister Properties to Give Back
(firmenpresse) - ZURICH, SWITZERLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 07/25/13 -- For the past 5 years, Marriott's South Germany & Switzerland Business Council has put together teams of three to five engineers, who donate their time to supporting charitable programs by lending their labor and mechanical skills. This year, from 19 to 21 July, the team was joined by general managers from several regional hotels, including the Renaissance Zurich Hotel.
Five general managers from Zurich, Vienna and Munich hotels, including the one from this , travelled to Alba Iulia in Transylvania, Romania, where they worked alongside a team of engineers to benefit Stern der Hoffnung children's home. Before the arrival of the general managers, engineers spent a week at the home doing repairs including everything from kitchen work to painting.
On the morning of the 19th, the general managers, including the one at these , loaded vans with donations including bed linens, stuffed animals, pillows, TVs, toys and more. The donations, made in kind by companies such as Sysco Guest Supply, associates and hotel head offices, can be sold (if not needed) at a small shop to benefit the children's home. Two vans left from Germany, while another left from Austria. The teams stopped overnight at the Budapest Marriott before an early morning departure to Alba Iulia. Upon arrival to Stern der Hoffnung children's home, the team of general managers helped unload donations and shared a meal with the kids.
This Oerlikon, Zurich hotel was joined by other city and regional properties, all of which donated between 700EUR and 1,200EUR each, including Courtyard Munich City Center, Courtyard Munich City East, Residence Inn Munich City East, Munich Airport Marriott Hotel, Zurich Marriott Hotel, Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel, Vienna Marriott Hotel, Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel, Renaissance Vienna Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Vienna, Courtyard Vienna Messe and Courtyard Vienna Schoenbrunn.
