Josef Schopf will join Fidecum AG
As of September 1st, Josef Schopf will become a portfolio manager at
Fidecum AG. An additional equity product managed by Josef will be launched
in due course. In addition, he will become a member of the board of the
company.
Josef holds a degree in economics and is working in the equities industry
since 25 years. He is an expert in European small- and midcap companies,
based on in depth company knowledge, close relationships and an
extraordinary good network across Europe. Hence, his main expertise lies in
managing European mid- and small-cap equity portfolios.
Starting his career as an equity analyst Josef moved on in 1990 to become a
portfolio manager. First, working at Foreign&Colonial in London, then at
dit - Deutscher Investment Trust (today known as AGI) and finally for ten
years at LUPUS Alpha in Frankfurt. As an example, his Lupus Alpha Smaller
Euro Champions fund advanced by 143.6% between January 2002 and November
2007, outperforming the benchmark by 23.8%.

the past, Josef has impressively demonstrated that it is possible to
