SEH releases Mac OS X version of the UTN Manager software tool for the myUTN USB device server range
SEH UTN Manager now as Mac OS X version(firmenpresse) - Bielefeld, Germany (August 1st, 2013). – SEH, the German network specialist, today announces the release of the Mac OS X version of its UTN Manager. This software tool makes USB devices network-ready in Apple environments, using SEH's myUTN USB device servers. Users install the UTN Manager version 2.0.5 for Mac OS X to manage all myUTN USB device servers on a network. This software tool is available for free download from the SEH website.
SEH has developed the UTN Manager software tool for the UTN (USB-to-network) function. Its purpose is to enable users to access and use all USB devices which are attached to a myUTN USB device server, such as laboratory instruments and gauges of all kinds, printers, scanners or hardware keys for the copy protection of licenced software. The UTN Manager shows the availability of all myUTN USB device servers and their attached USB devices. It also provides the connection between a client and the requested USB device. In addition, the UTN Manager supports automating the utilisation of USB devices in a network. The software tool is installed on all clients which are to access USB devices via Ethernet with the help of a myUTN USB device server. The UTN Manager has been available for Windows environments. With the new UTN Manager version for Mac OS X Mac users can now also access all USB devices across the network when they are attached to a myUTN USB device server by SEH.
Full functional range for myUTN special solutions
UTN Manager version 2.0.5 for Mac OS X enables all myUTN product portfolio solutions, such as the myUTN-130 Scannerserver offering lossless scan data compression and the myUTN-80 Dongle Server with its USB software key management and security functions. Now both Windows and Mac users can employ all myUTN USB device servers seamlessly together on the same network.
