Bancorp announces listing on Frankfurt Stock Exchange Entry Standard
Auckland, New Zealand, 2 August 2013 - Bancorp Wealth Management New
Zealand Limited (Bancorp, ISIN: NZBWME0001S2) today announced its intended
listing on the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The initial
listing is expected to take place in August 2013. A capital increase is not
intended in the context of the listing. Further details of the listing will
be announced at a later date.
New Zealand's leading banking group in private and investment banking with
an international focus
The Bancorp Group operates in two business areas. In its Private Banking
division, the Bancorp Group offers an extensive portfolio of banking
products, services and investment opportunities in New Zealand. It is the
only banking group in New Zealand which has its product portfolio mainly
geared to the requirements of Asian clients. In its second division,
Aviation, it holds equity investments in the field of aviation financing,
insurance brokers and aviation-related companies, e.g. such as in the
airport transportation company Auckland Airbus Ltd. Bancorp Wealth
Management New Zealand Limited acts as a holding company and its operating
activities are conducted by its 13 subsidiaries and equity investments
(Bancorp Group).
2011/2012 financial year: Sales increase and expansion of market position
In the 2011/2012 financial year (30 June), the Bancorp Group generated
consolidated sales of around EUR 7.7 m (2010/2011: EUR 5.4 m), while its
result for 2011/2012 was EUR -45,845 (2010/2011: EUR 2.3 m). As at the
reporting date of 30 June 2012, the total assets amount to around EUR 24 m.
After the end of the reporting period, business volumes were expanded
further in both divisions through a range of different measures. In the
Aviation division, the equity investment in Boston Marks Holdings Limited -
an international specialist in the brokerage of aircraft insurance with
branches in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the UK and Asia - became a
consolidated subsidiary. The Private Banking division is to be expanded
primarily by increasing the number of financial consultants.
'By listing Bancorp on the Entry Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
we hope to raise the visibility and liquidity of our shares and address
further potential investors. Bancorp will then be the only New Zealand
company to be listed in the Entry Standard. The expansion of our capital
market presence runs parallel to the growth of operating activities in our
divisions, and is therefore another systematic step in the growth strategy
we have embarked on,' said Craig Brownie, Managing Director of Bancorp
Wealth Management New Zealand Limited.
