Ciklum Launches Pilot Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Training Program in Kharkov, Ukraine
(PresseBox) - 03.2011 - Ciklum, a Danish IT outsourcing provider, is taking a proactive approach to education of developers with rare specialization by implementing the new Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Training Program in Kharkov, Ukraine.
Ciklum further encourages its clients to enroll their employees to the MOSS Training Program if the clients believe such program would be beneficial to them. Five of Ciklum?s Kharkov-based clients liked this initiative and thus assigned their .NET developers to the training program. After finishing the program, the participants will be working full-time as MOSS developers in their current projects. Consequently, Ciklum will fill the newly vacant .NET developer slots for their clients.
"Attracting developers with narrow specialization (such as MOSS, Drupal, Ruby on Rails, etc.) is more difficult in general due to a much lower number of such people available on the market. That is why we are trying to find creative ways ? namely, educating some of the existing team members in these technologies," stated Anna Tupikova, Ciklum?s Training Coordinator.
"Our employees are happy to see the increasing number of educational initiatives being launched in Kharkov. The recently started .NET Training Program at Kharkov University of Radio and Electronics, along with the LUA training program in which 10 students were enrolled after a wider selection process, made us into a more visible and more junior-friendly IT company in Kharkov. Simultaneously, such pilot initiatives as the MOSS Training Program are a good way to provide professional growth opportunities for existing employees," stated Alexandra Chudner, Ciklum?s Retention Manager in Kharkov office.
The Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Training Program started on the 28th of February and will last two weeks. The program consists of two parts - Microsoft SharePoint 2010 along with Design and Development of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 Applications. The first part provides existing .NET developers with practical information and labs which enable them to build solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platform. During the second week, students will learn the skills and best practices which are required to help organizations design and develop effective SharePoint applications. This part is intended for the IT professionals who will be responsible for designing custom code for projects which are deployed on SharePoint 2010 servers.
The whole education process is led by an experienced Microsoft Certified IT Trainer - Alexander Babich. If this pilot program turns out to be successful, it can be repeated in any of the Ciklum?s locations.
