The complaint alleges that the Company improperly accounted for work-in-process inventory in one of its subsidiaries, and that due to this improper accounting IEC overstated its gross profit, violated Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and issued materially false and misleading financial statements. On May 1, 2013, IEC announced it would restate the Company's consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2012, quarterly periods during fiscal 2012, and quarter ended December 28, 2012.
