Alberta Flood Aid Organizers Announce Boots On! Stage

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/15/13 -- Adding to the Excitement for the August 15th Alberta Flood Aid, Organizers are Pleased to Announce "Boots On! Stage"

"Boots On! Stage" is the food and music event happening in the east parking lot of McMahon Stadium on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM in advance of the Alberta Flood Aid concert main stage.

This event will showcase Alberta musicians and cuisine including an exciting variety of food trucks, the Calgary Stampede Caravan and live music will create a true festival atmosphere outside McMahon Stadium.

Calgary's own Matt Masters will host this event and welcome artists including: Kelly Jay, Kirby Sewell Band, The Rustic Brothers, Hello Moth, Bill Dowey and the Blues Devils, Sean Hogan and Dark Horse with Spirit Horse, Tasmin Jude, Mike Watson, Carla Olive, and Randi Boulton. Please note this is subject to change.

There is no admission charge for this event. However, there is a cost for all food and beverages. Those attending are encouraged to visit their ATM before heading to the site.

Those attending the "Boots On! Stage" event are encouraged to use public transit to access the site as parking will be extremely limited.

Proceeds will benefit The Calgary Foundation's Flood Rebuilding Fund. The Fund supports southern Alberta's long-term community rebuilding efforts, including the hardest hit areas of High River, Canmore and nearby First Nation reserves.

Alberta Flood Aid would like to thank the following public organizations for their support: the Province of Alberta, the City of Calgary, Calgary Economic Development, Travel Alberta, and Tourism Calgary.
