Rellingen, March 25, 2011 - Hofmann, the specialist for road marking technology, has added another useful innovation to its range of products: The MALCON 4 electronic control unit, designed in-house, now allows you to use the field-proven Hofmann road marking technology even more accurately and efficiently.
The MALCON 4 marking length control system by HOFMANN enables simplified and more precise road marki(firmenpresse) - HOFMANN, the market leader for road marking technology located in Rellingen near Hamburg, Germany, has further developed its MALCON marking length control system series. It is especially characterized by its simple and self-explanatory operation and offers the user all the relevant information at a glance. Thus, for example, all functions can be checked in simulation mode before the start.
During road marking work, the layer thickness (during pump operation) can be monitored at any time, thus ensuring an even more accurate dosage during the spraying procedure. The length measurement of the marking directly on the spraygun achieves high accuracy. If the actual marked length deviates from the specified problem, then this can be corrected immediately.
A very legible LCD color display makes its easy to switch to any of the 13 languages. This display shows the user a constant stream of information, such as the precise extruder revolution or the liter indicator (Airless and Airspray).
It is possible to actuate up to 4 successively arranged sprayguns, shutters, or bead guns with precisely adjustable delay. Setting the line and cycle lengths is straightforward thanks to the two easy-to-use joysticks.
The MALCON 4 control unit has three stages of automation: Manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic markings. In the fully automatic mode, the machine runs one of the preset 24 programs autonomously. However, it is possible to make changes during marking at any time.
"Exporting the data over the USB interface to peripheral devices such as external storage devices, printers, PDAs, or a computer is especially useful," Torsten Pape, Head of Sales and Marketing at HOFMANN, points out. "This enables a very precise marking verification which also simplifies invoicing later on." Pape adds.
