Legend Gold Corp. Reports Results from Tiekoumala Drill Program
(firmenpresse) - Legend Gold Corp. Reports Results from Tiekoumala Drill Program
Toronto, Ontario – April 14, 2011 – Legend Gold Corp. (the “Company” or “Legend Gold”) (TSX.V:LGN) is pleased to announce initial drill results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Tiekoumala South (formerly Foulalaba South). Assay results issued today are from a 50 hole (5,000 metre) program designed to trace gold mineralization previously identified from an auger and RC drilling program completed in 2010 (see press release dated August 4, 2010).
Drilling from Tiekoumala South intersected a broad zone of anomalous gold values up to 70 metres wide which exceeds 800 metres in length, and is open to the north and south. An example of this zone, RC hole number 11TKSRC-007, intersected 100 metres grading 0.144 grams per tonne gold, the entire length of the hole. Mineralization and alteration identified from RC rock chips consist of intense silicification and/or quartz veins with arsenopyrite and pyrite in metasediment. Significant assay results from this program are reported below.
This zone represents an area of highly anomalous gold concentrations located in favourable geology, set within a complex structural setting. The north extension of this zone of mineralization is now the subject of detailed termite mound sampling and planned air core (AC) drilling.
The results from this release form part of a larger (20,000 metre) drill program designed to test numerous geochemical and geophysical anomalies identified from recent termite mound sampling programs and a reinterpretation of Legend Gold’s airborne magnetic and Induced Polarization (IP) surveys.
Scott Waldie, President and CEO of Legend Gold Corp., stated “We are encouraged by the results of this initial drill program. They, along with our ongoing sampling programs, will assist us with the continuation of drilling on the Tiekoumala Property.”
Selected assay results from both diamond and RC drilling are presented in the following tables:

Note 1: Intersections are calculated down the drill holes using a 0.2 gram per tonne (gpt) or 200 part per billion (ppb) assay cut-off and allowing a maximum of 2 metres of internal waste. Assays immediately following the internal waste must carry the waste interval to be included in a particular intersection. “Includes” is calculated using a 1.0 gpt or 1000 ppb assay cut-off with the same internal waste criteria. 0.2 gpt or 200 ppb was chosen as a cut-off to show the wide continuity of the mineralization and to reflect the potential bulk mining of the entire zone. All drill hole inclinations are -60 degrees and true width of the mineralization is 50%-75% of the reported drill intercept depending on the drill angle.

To ensure reliable sample results Legend Gold Corp. has a rigorous QA/QC program in place that monitors the chain-of-custody of samples and includes the insertion of blanks, duplicates, and certified reference standards in each batch of samples. RC chips are logged and a representative sample is retained in a secured facility for verification purposes. DDH core is logged, photographed and sawn in half where one half of the core is submitted for analysis and the other half retained as a representative sample in a secured facility for verification purposes. Sample preparation (crushing and pulverizing) is performed at an independent local laboratory. Prepared samples are direct-shipped to a local independent laboratory for analysis using a FA50-AAS (Fire Assay on 50 gram sample with an Atomic Absorption finish).
