Emmvee solar-modules with Bosch cells: now MCS certificated and fit for every roof
Emmvee: More efficiency with structured glass

(firmenpresse) - All Emmvee-modules with monocrystalline cells from Bosch as well as the modules with polycrystalline cells from Q-cells have received the MCS certificate from the British BBA. The oldest certification institute in England tested all modules of Emmvee"s product portfolio and confirms the quality of Emmvee modules.
The modules are equipped with structured front glass Albarino P or G, which offers an increase in efficiency. Thus, Emmvee modules are particularly suitable for flat and less ideal-orientated roofs facing East or West. Even in weak light conditions or with a low lying sun the efficiency is significantly higher than for modules with flat glass and inferior quality of components.
Emmvee were the first users of Albarino front glass. "Regarding the use of the efficiency increasing front glass, we are the well-proven original", claim Steffen Grad and Salvatore Cammilleri, Managing Directors of Emmvee Photovoltaics GmbH.
Approved increase in efficiency
Independent renowned inspections show: The special patterned surface of Albarino P and G increases yield for at least 3 per cent. This is proved by ISFH Hameln and the University of Albstadt-Sigmaringen.
The increase in efficiency is also proved by the yield of other Emmvee installations, which are already installed for a while all around the world: big and small installations with a size up from 4 kW up to big solar parks. Emmvee is established with its choice of components and glass.
Emmvee modules are suitable for every roof
The module ES-230 M60 with 60 monocrystalline 6-inch cells from Bosch (B) and a system voltage of 1000V is a top product with highest quality requirements.
Underneath the front glass Albarino P or G, 60 semi-square monocrystalline solar cells are working with 3-Bus-Bars made my Bosch. The rest of the module is completely black, which makes it suitable for old buildings as well as for new buildings. Emmvee Modules increase efficiency significantly for flat roofs and all kinds of roof-orientations. Not every roof is orientated towards the south. "This is a great opportunity for everybody not having made his choice for a solar power plant until now due to the roof-orientation", says Steffen Graf.
Light trap and cleaning
The special patterned front glass is not only better in catching the shafts of sunlight than flat glass; it also reflects the light back inside the glass layer, due to the light trap effect. At the Intersolar Munich 2011, Emmvee will demonstrate the light trap effect live at the booth.
Furthermore, the flow velocity of rain water is higher around the structure, so that the modules are cleaned easily. This is an effect similar to the effect on the surface of the wings of an airplane. Apart from that, the surface is smaller so that bigger particles (e.g. leafs) stick less easily than on flat glass reducing the danger of shadowing.
High degree of efficiency
The module"s yield is up to 15,1 per cent. Products of Emmvee Photovoltaics GmbH come with a 10-year warranty. In addition, a yield of 90 percent of the minimum output power identified within the first 10 years and of 80 percent within the first 25 years from commissioning is warranted. The modules are mainly distributed in Germany, Italy, France, UK and Austria.
A module is more than the sum of its components
Emmvee uses only brand-name components, mostly from Germany. Emmvee is one of the first manufacturers of solar modules counting on transparence. Emmvee publishes the suppliers of its components, making yield calculations possible for its clients. "Our clients want to know everything about the modules they invest in and the yield they can calculate with. Therefore we publish the composition of our modules ", says Salvatore Cammilleri.
The power classes reach from 240 to 255 Wp, the front glass measures 4mm. The module"s dimension is 1691 x 1002 x 50mm. The module is certified by IEC 61215 Ed. II and IEC 61730 TÜV Rheinland, UL and MCS.
