Balda AG: Balda General Meeting elects new Supervisory Board members

Berlin/Bad Oeynhausen, 5 September 2013 - Balda AG announced that the
company's extraordinary General Meeting yesterday elected new members to
its three-person Supervisory Board.
With 60.3% of the share capital present (prior to the beginning of the
voting), the following individuals were elected, in each case with a clear
majority:
* Ms. Frauke Vogler, lawyer/tax advisor, Berlin
* Dr. Thomas van Aubel, lawyer, Berlin
* Mr. Klaus Rueth, Darmstadt
Dr. van Aubel had stated at the General Meeting that he intended to assume
the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board if elected.
The new Supervisory Board members succeed the previous members Irene
Schetelig and Wilfried Niemann, who had been appointed by a court. The
previous Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Michael Naschke, who had been
confirmed in his office at the Annual General Meeting in November 2012, had
announced his resignation at the beginning of the extraordinary General
Meeting effective at the end of the General Meeting.The sole agenda item
for today's extraordinary General Meeting, which had been convened by
shareholder Elector GmbH (Balda capital held: 29.9%), was the appointment
of new members of the Supervisory Board.
Dominik Müser, Chief Executive Officer of Balda AG: 'The shareholders have
made their decision. I sincerely hope that after the disputes in the past
months calm will now be restored at Balda to enable the company to focus
all of its efforts on further advancing its operating business.'
