Altai Updates on Unsolicited Offer
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/06/13 -- Altai Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: ATI) (US SEC Rule 12g3-2(b) File # 82-2950) ("Altai" or the "Company") would like to remind shareholders that they should defer taking any action in respect of the offer from Zara Resources Inc. ("Zara") until shareholders have received further communication from the board of directors of Altai. Following a detailed review of the offer by a special committee, Altai will mail a directors' circular which will contain important information including a recommendation to shareholders of Altai with respect to the offer. As the offer by Zara is open for acceptance until October 28, 2013, there is no need for Altai shareholders to take any steps in respect of the offer by Zara at this time.
Niyazi Kacira, President, commenting on the offer, said, "The Board of Directors is proceeding, with the assistance of its legal advisors, to review the Zara offer. Shareholders are urged to take no action concerning the offer until the Board makes its formal recommendation. Shareholders will be notified by the Board of this recommendation through a news release and directors' circular in accordance with applicable securities laws."
