Government of Canada Recognizes Excellence in the Public Service

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/10/13 -- Today, 184 outstanding public servants were recognized during the annual Public Service Award of Excellence ceremony held at Rideau Hall. The awards were presented by His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Wayne G. Wouters, Clerk of the Privy Council.

"This year's recipients represent some of our most creative, innovative and dedicated public servants who take pride in serving Canadians in communities across the country and in locations around the world," said Mr. Wouters. "Their achievements remind us that being a federal public servant is a unique calling, presenting challenges and opportunities that few other careers can offer."

The Public Service Award of Excellence is a non-monetary award announced annually during National Public Service Week. The award was given in the following 13 categories:
