Cool Speaker Line-Up at New Edmonton Festival
E-Town festival celebrates change, innovation, disrupting status quo
(firmenpresse) - EDMONTON, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/10/13 -- Calling on media near and far! Edmonton's inaugural festival aimed at the entrepreneurial-minded takes off Sep 12-13. All keynotes are in Hall D, Shaw Conference Centre, 9797 Jasper Avenue.
Sep 12, 515-615 pm: Chris Hadfield speaks on the lessons he has learned in his career about leadership, teamwork, collaboration, science and technology. Motivation tips may be included. Autograph session to follow. At his request, Hadfield will not be doing media interviews; he returns to Edmonton for a book tour this fall.
Sep 13, 830-930 am: Dragon's Den member and Lavalife co-founder Bruce Croxon shares his business growth and success philosophy, and the significance of decisions, guided by core values, on recruitment, culture, innovation and success. Media availability follows.
930-1030 am: Webby Awards founder and filmmaker Tiffany Shlain presents a live "cloud filmmaking manifesto," describing a new participatory and collaborative way of making films. Media availability 830 am.
1-2 pm: Business guru and former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki's keynote, entitled Art of Innovation, lays out the steps for creating new products and services based on his time at Apple and study of numerous internationally known companies. Media availability 11 am.
