Host Europe Group acquires Telefónica Germany Online Services GmbH (TOS) to
further strengthen its Managed Hosting division.
Host Europe Group, Europe's leading hosting provider, has today announced
the successful acquisition of Telefónica Germany Online Services GmbH
(TOS), a subsidiary of Telefónica Deutschland, for an undisclosed
consideration.
This acquisition will further strengthen Host Europe's position as a
leading provider of enterprise hosting solutions to small and medium-sized
enterprises, and enable the company to deliver highly technical solutions
to its client base.
Thomas Vollrath, CEO of Host Europe Group said: 'We are delighted to
welcome TOS to our Group portfolio. Combining TOS' significant high end
hosting expertise with our cloud and mass hosting capabilities will mean we
are better placed than ever to deliver everything any organisation needs to
be successful online.'
TOS provides full managed hosting solutions, customer specific application
services as well as portal projects. Host Europe Group manages more than
five million registered domains and specialises in cloud and virtualisation
solutions, as well as software as a service (SAAS).
The combined group will create a unique player in the German market as the
enlarged company will be able to offer a full complement of hosting
services; alongside customised solutions for individual customers' needs.

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
