Infinera Appoints Alastair Short as General Counsel
(firmenpresse) - SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/16/13 -- Infinera (NASDAQ: INFN), a leading provider of ™, announced today that it has appointed Alastair Short as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Mr. Short was most recently the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Better Place Inc., a company that designed and manufactured infrastructure for electric vehicles, which he joined in 2011. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Counsel for 3PAR, a global technology company, beginning in 2002. He assisted in taking 3PAR public in 2007 and was a key participant when the company was subsequently sold to HP in 2010. Mr. Short's experience includes senior legal positions with two start-up companies, MetaTV and Netigy, and he held a number of senior positions at Hitachi Data Systems, including Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs. Mr. Short has a L.L.B. from the University of Warwick, England.
