Mendham Borough Rallies Runners for Annual Harvest Hustle 5K and Fun Run
(firmenpresse) - MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 09/17/13 -- Registration is now open at mendhamboro.org for Mendham Borough's annual Harvest Hustle 5K and 1-mile Kids' Fun Run to be held October 5th. This community-wide event is inspired by the late Sergeant Richard Morales' commitment to fitness and supports both his scholarship fund and many health/wellness initiatives in Mendham Borough schools.
The course is a USATF-NJ Grand Prix event suitable for walkers and runners of all levels. A sponsorship fair, raffles and prizes based on 5-year age groups are included, as are medals for all Fun Runners. The race is followed by the annual 8th grade fair at Mountain View School, which raises funds for the students' journey to Washington, D.C.
Festivities begin at 8 a.m. with the Fun Run, followed by the 5K at 9 a.m. Registrations are $25 for the 5K and $12 for the Fun Run when completed by September 21st. Thereafter, each registration costs an additional $3. Free tech shirts for the first 500 5K registrants and free t-shirts for the first 150 Fun Runners.
