Lubrizol CPVC Piping Systems and Materials Expands Public App to iPhone®

CLEVELAND, September 10, 2013 - After releasing the Lubrizol CPVC public
application for the Apple(®) iPad(®) at the 2013 International Builders' Show,
The Lubrizol Corporation is expanding the app's capabilities with the launch of
a mobile version for the Apple iPhone(®). The Lubrizol CPVC mobile application
enables contractors and plumbing engineers to have access to Lubrizol CPVC
product information and solutions for building and construction projects, and
now also provides analytics to capture usage details to further develop the app
based on the needs of its users.
Available for download at no cost, the mobile app features the same information
as the iPad app, offering quick and easy access to news about Lubrizol CPVC
brands including FlowGuard(®) Pipe & Fittings, BlazeMaster(®) Fire Sprinkler
Systems and Corzan(®) Industrial Systems. The app also includes an FBC(TM)
System Compatible product finder, a tool that helps ensure compliance with
industrial standards and compatibility with products from other companies.
"With more than 300 downloads of the iPad app, we wanted to offer the app to
iPhone users in an effort to expand access to our customers at the jobsite, no
matter what device they're using," said Jason Marckel, Lubrizol information
technologist. "The added analytic feature allows us to capture usage and provide
our customers with the information they need about Lubrizol CPVC plumbing
systems."
As with the iPad app, the mobile app is a portal that serves to locate a
preferred region and basic contact information for manufacturers associated with
that region. It gives users the opportunity to sign up for e-news and link to
social media as well as up-to-the-minute access to information about events.
"Allowing our end-users and customers to obtain real-time information about
Lubrizol CPVC activities on their preferred mobile device is part of our More
Inside marketing initiatives," said John Nunnari, general manager, Lubrizol
CPVC. "The evolution of the app to mobile devices provides an additional
communications tool that supports the value that CPVC piping systems offer to
the market."
Lubrizol will continue developing the app's capabilities to assist contractors
and plumbing engineers in all their building and construction projects. Marckel
expects future releases to include capabilities for Android devices.
Improvements are also expected in the event listings, "Contact Us" map and other
areas as more is learned about the use of the app.
