NOTMC Now Has an Industry-Leading DAM Software Solution to Serve Those Looking for Digital Assets

(firmenpresse) - MADISON, WI -- (Marketwired) -- 09/18/13 -- Wisconsin-based Widen Enteprises -- the longest-standing organization in the digital asset management industry -- has expanded its presence in the destination marketing space with its successful implementation at the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation. The digital media services provider recently released a series of video interviews highlighting the success of its application -- called Media Collective -- at NOTMC.

The Widen DAM solution is the first to be implemented at NOTMC. Teams from the city's tourism department will be managing assets (images, videos, etc.) related to venues, events and landmarks, as well as candids from around the city.

"Before Widen, many of our images were stored on our local server making it hard to distribute to people. We would FTP them up to our website or use products like DropBox to try to get images and other assets to folks," said Jean Paul Gisclair, online manager at NOTMC. "It's given us a better way to share images with partners and media who are requesting images and assets for their own publications. It's also given us a way to organize the content much better. Searching for those assets is much easier now."

Widen's DAM system is the choice of organizations running the gamut of industries, from hospitality and destination marketing to manufacturing and medical technology. In NOTMC's case, Widen will help the organization communicate and share media more effectively with its New York-based ad agency. They're also making use of Widen Media Collective's API to expand their use of the digital asset library beyond Widen's own interface.

"There's no city in the world quite like New Orleans, so we're loving the fact that we get to be a part of how the city tells its story and attracts visitors," said Widen Marketing Manager Jake Athey.

Widen Enterprises leads the digital asset management industry in customer satisfaction. The marketers and NOTMC have benefitted from the customer service and expertise that has served so many others well over several decades. And with so many people wanting to see, read, hear and tell the stories about New Orleans, demand for assets seems to never slow down.

"Our internal users are beating down our door asking us for images every day, so, in fact they're all very excited that we have Widen implemented now and a digital asset management system to go to. It makes collaboration so much easier for us," Gisclair said.

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Widen has honed its more than 60 years of experience in premedia services and color management specifically for assisting customers with building brand equity and supporting consistent brand representation across print and Web communications. Through its inventive suite of Web-based digital asset management applications, Widen software services provide marketing networks with real-time, Web-based access to clients' digital asset libraries, subsequently eliminating manual search and file preparation time, costs related to replacing images and videos that cannot be located, and added costs for hardware, software and upgrades.
