Africa Hydrocarbons Provides Operations Update of BHN-1 Well in Tunisia

ID: 298324

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 09/19/13 -- Africa Hydrocarbons Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NFK) ("AHI" or the "Company") today issued the following operational update regarding its BHN-1 exploration well in Tunisia and is pleased to report the drilling rig used to drill the BHN-1 exploration well has now completed moving off the location. The running of an additional cased-hole log has been scheduled to augment log and drill cuttings data already retrieved. This additional log, not available when previous cased-hole logs were acquired, will provide further data to determine the potential hydrocarbon saturation of specific fracture intervals interpreted on well data acquired to date over the 245 meter thick Abiod formation penetrated in BHN-1 and will allow for optimal decision-making with respect to potential test intervals. Once the new log data has been retrieved and interpreted, the decision to continue specific completion operations will be made and perforating and testing equipment moved in, barring any location access issues occurring.

The BHN-1 well was spud on June 8, 2013 and is the first exploration well on the Bouhajla Permit. It is being drilled to evaluate a Cretaceous Abiod oil target on the Bouhajla North prospect.
