Message Systems Launches the Validator Tool to Test Outbound Email for Authentication and Deliverability Quality
Free Web Application Validates Email Messages for DMARC, DKIM and SPF Compliance, Provides the Ultimate Test for Email Authentication, Helping Senders Improve Deliverability and ISP Acceptance
(firmenpresse) - COLUMBIA, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 09/26/13 -- , the global leader in digital messaging software, today unveiled the Validator Tool, a free web application that enables email senders to test the deliverability quality and authentication settings of their messages prior to sending. Ideal for email marketers and high volume senders of newsletters, transactional email and other types of automated messages, the Validator flags and identifies issues or failures for the major email authentication and validation schemes used today, including DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance). The Validator also scans message content for viruses, scans headers, checks for blacklist hits, and performs a series of virus and spam tests. An easy way for high-volume email senders to uncover and avoid potential problems with ISPs, the Validator provides senders with a valuable tool to protect their sender reputation and ensure high deliverability rates on email campaigns and programs.
Designed and built by the Message Systems engineering team, the Validator is a standard Momentum install that contains a custom policy written in the Lua scripting language. This policy performs a series of tests -- not unlike what many Message Systems clients use in production -- and stores the results in a database for retrieval by the end user. Entirely cloud-based, the Validator walks the user through a simple three-step process that returns clear pass/fail data in a grid layout, with accompanying explanatory information and best practices guidance for resolving any issues senders may uncover with their messages. It also generates a unique link to the results page, which enables non-technical users to easily forward Validator findings to their own internal IT staff for assistance if their messages do not receive a "Pass" rating.
"Fast-growing companies that communicate with their customers over email inevitably learn that getting mailings into recipient inboxes can post a lot of problems," said George Schlossnagle, president and CEO of Message Systems. "The Momentum platform is specifically designed to help senders address these concerns by supporting authentication, and helping to optimize deliverability and achieve peak throughput. The Validator now gives all email senders access to many of these advanced capabilities in an easy-to-use cloud-based web app. We encourage everyone who sends business-critical email to give the Validator a try, and use it regularly to protect their brand reputation and improve email deliverability."
"Protecting users and businesses from the onslaught of malicious email and threats is critical to the vitality of interactive marketing and online services. DMARC is providing real business value and brand protection in combatting email abuse, and Message Systems' Validator is a key tool to accelerate adoption," said Craig Spiezle, executive director and president, Online Trust Alliance. "Message Systems continues to demonstrate leadership driving adoption of emerging standards and a commitment to collaboration."
Email marketing managers, postmasters and anyone sending business-critical email who needs to make sure that their messages have the best possible chance of reaching their customers' inboxes will benefit from the Validator. It validates emails against the various tests that ISPs run email campaigns through, and flags potential problems so senders can resolve issues before putting campaigns into the field.
Retailers, banks and online business sending millions of emails a day can face substantial lost revenue and customer ill will when email messages fail to make it to the inbox. And most delivery problems happen when ISPs block messages for problems such as poorly composed message content, inadequate or misapplied authentication, or suspect IP addresses. As an email verifier that flags problems in all of these areas, the Validator provides an effective tool for preventing blocks, protecting sender reputation and ensuring peak deliverability.
