White Pine Announces Results of Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders

(TSX VENTURE: WPR) (the "Corporation" or "White Pine") today announced the results of the voting at its annual and special meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting"), held on September 30, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
At the Meeting, all director nominees listed in the Corporation's management information circular dated August 21, 2013 were elected as directors of the Corporation. In addition, at the Meeting, shareholders also (i) reappointed Collins Barrow Toronto LLP, Chartered Accountants, as auditors of the Corporation; (ii) approved the termination of the previous stock option plan of the Corporation and the adoption of the new 2013 stock option plan for the Corporation; and (iii) ratified and confirmed the adoption of By-Law No. 4 of the Corporation which includes an advance notice requirement for nominations of directors by shareholders in certain circumstances. In addition, following the Meeting, Mr. John G. Tait was appointed as a director of the Corporation. Mr. Tait presently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of White Pine. The appointment of Mr. Tait remains subject to the receipt of all applicable regulatory approvals.
