Industry Veteran to Lead Expanding Insurance Services Firm

Howard as Chief Executive Officer effective October 8, 2013. David brings over 25 years of leadership and insurance experience to SDII, having most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for AmRisc, LP of Houston, Texas.

Mr. Howard has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. Prior to his executive role with AmRisc, LP, Mr. Howard served as President and CEO of Edison Insurance Group, LLC, which he formed in 2005 and later sold in 2010. Mr. Howard is the former Chairman, President and CEO of Insurance Management Solutions Group (IMSG). Howard also served as a Senior VP of Bankers Insurance Group and President of Bankers Insurance Services, Inc. Mr. Howard has been active in industry organizations and is a former member of the Council of Company Executive Officers of the PIA and former Secretary of National Flood Determination Association.
After graduating from Central Michigan University as a Distinguished Military Graduate, Mr. Howard spent several years as an officer in the US Army (reaching the rank of Captain).
