(firmenpresse) - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM and SAO PAULO, BRAZIL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/03/13 -- WABCO Holdings Inc. (NYSE: WBC) (), a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced that it will participate at FENATRAN 2013 in Sao Paulo, the commercial vehicle industry's largest and most comprehensive trade show in South America, from October 28 to November 1. WABCO will present its latest technologies for anti-lock braking systems (ABS) for trucks, buses and trailers; electronic braking systems (EBS) for trailers, as well as a suite of intelligent technologies and product innovations that help to make commercial vehicles safer and more efficient.
WABCO will also exhibit its differentiation in the aftermarket as it offers a powerful portfolio of innovative products and value-added services, including customized technical training, technology diagnostic systems and genuine parts distribution through its network of more than 2,000 WABCO Service Partners in over 110 countries, including the continent of South America.
"At FENATRAN 2013, we will showcase our industry-leading capabilities in vehicle safety, efficiency and environmental sustainability to further differentiate WABCO as the brand of choice across South America," said Nikhil Varty, WABCO President, Americas. "We look forward to meeting with customers and partners as we continue to deliver a world of difference through the innovative technologies, global connectivity and service excellence that WABCO offers to local and global original equipment manufacturers and fleets."
WABCO joins FENATRAN 2013 as Brazil and South America are viewed as growth markets driven by new vehicle safety regulations and increasing concern for fuel efficiency, among other commercial transport factors. From January 2014, all such vehicles must have ABS installed.
WABCO is South America's market leader for ABS, electronic stability control (ESC), conventional brake systems, transmission automation controls and other safety and efficiency technologies. Established in 1980 and headquartered in Sumare, near Sao Paulo, WABCO South America also serves as a major hub in the manufacturing and sales network of WABCO worldwide. It has a world-class production facility and a distribution center in the Campinas region. WABCO South America employs more than 500 people in product and applications engineering, sales, aftermarket service, supply chain management and manufacturing.
