Toronto Celebrates Sudbury in 2013 at the Hockey Hall of Fame

Sudbury Community Foundation named as this year's Recipient

(firmenpresse) - SUDBURY, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/03/13 -- Toronto Celebrates Sudbury announces its third annual event to take place Thursday, November 7th, 7 pm, at the Hockey Hall of Fame, Brookfield Place, 30 Yonge Street, Toronto.

Having a great time in the iconic Hockey Hall of Fame will be hundreds of Sudbury boosters raising money for The Sudbury Community Foundation, this year's charity of choice.

Tickets are $200 each and are on sale at and .

"We are thrilled to be named the 2013 charity for this great event," said Carmen Simmons, Executive Director of the Foundation. "Our mandate in this community is to support all local charities," she added. "By naming the Foundation, Toronto Celebrates Sudbury has effectively included every charity in our community. What could be more fitting?"

Perry Dellelce, co-chair of this year's Toronto Celebrates Sudbury Committee, noted that the event is becoming a mainstay of the Toronto cultural scene for many former Sudburians. As well, many Sudburians travel to Toronto specifically for the evening making it a wonderful reunion.

Sudbury expats have already raised over $100,000 for this community. Past events have raised funds for Laurentian University and Health Sciences North.
