(firmenpresse) - Morocco"s 1st International Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Trade Fair EneR Event 2011 will be organised by Fenelec-the Moroccan Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energies, in close cooperation with the German trade fair specialists fairtrade and their Moroccan partners Forum 7. The trade show enjoys the benefits of a Hosted Buyers" Program, which Fenelec will realize in cooperation with CAFELEC and Maroc Export. EneR Event is scheduled for 22-26 November 2011 at the International Fairgrounds-OFEC in Casablanca, Morocco.

As the first Arab country, Morocco has presented a bill for the promotion of renewable energies and energy efficiency to the council of ministers. In addition to boost the amount of renewable energies related to total energy consumption, energy efficiency in public buildings, in industry and in public transport shall be improved. In 2010, Morocco had announced the "solar-plan", an energy plan targeting investments into renewable energies of 8 billion Euros.

EneR Event 2011 enjoys the official support of the Moroccan Ministry of Energy and Mines, Water and Environment, of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies and of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. Official Sponsor of EneR Event is the Moroccan public utilities provider ONE-Office National de l'Electricité.

According to Youssef Tagmouti, President of Fenelec, "EneR Event enjoys the benefits of a Hosted Buyers" Program, which Fenelec will realize in cooperation with CAFELEC-The African Electricity Confederation and Maroc Export, the governmental Moroccan Center for Export Promotion under the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Trade. A budget covering the expenses for travel and accommodation has been allocated to invite more than a hundred senior buyers from Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal and Togo."

Germany is the Guest of Honour of EneR Event in 2011. Within the framework of bilateral development cooperation the German Government supports specific projects to implement the Moroccan national solar-plan with more than 43 million Euros. According to GTAI-German Trade & Invest, German exports to Morocco from January to November 2010 have increased by 13.1% compared to the same period in 2009. German exports of electro-technology to Morocco reached 222.2 million Euros in 2009 (ZVEI-the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers" Association).





The topics for the conferences going alongside EneR Event 2011 include the Moroccan solar plan, CSP, the wind-power program, project finance, production and sale of renewable energy, biomass, hydro-power, and energy efficiency. The German-Moroccan Conference on Energy Efficiency will be held alongside EneR Event 2011, as well as a Franco-Moroccan Conference organized by ubifrance and technical presentations by the exhibitors.
The 1st EneR Event is going to be held concurrently with elec expo 2011, Morocco"s 6th International Electricity, Lighting, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Automation Trade Fair. Outlines Martin Maerz, fairtrade"s managing director: "In addition to the "Made-in-Germany" pavilion, Spain will officially be present with a pavilion organised by ICEX-the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade and ITE-the Spanish Energy Technological Institute. Other pavilions are expected from Austria, China, Italy and Turkey. By the end of May 2011, already more than a hundred national and international market leaders have booked their stands, the target for 2011 being 200 exhibitors and more than 4,000 qualified visitors of the trade."
