Made in the USA Curos(R) Disinfecting Port Protectors Now Available to All Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense Hospitals

Delegated authority by the General Services Administration, the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) program supports the healthcare acquisition needs of the VA, Department of Defense (DoD), and other government agencies, managing programs for medical equipment, supply, pharmaceutical, and service contracts.
Ivera's innovative line of passive disinfection devices will assist hundreds of VA Hospitals nationwide in establishing more effective intravenous (IV) valve disinfection. Importantly, Ivera products are all manufactured in the USA.
The Curos® line of passive disinfection devices disinfect IV connectors, killing the organisms(1) associated with patient bloodstream infections(2) and eliminating the technique variation found in manual disinfection procedures. With two disinfecting port protector options -- Curos Strips and individual Curos -- nurses can conveniently comply with valve disinfection protocols by simply peeling the foil seal from the distinctive green cap and twisting Curos onto the top of any luer-activated IV access port. Inside Curos, a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) saturated sponge-like foam bathes the surface of the venous access device to provide consistent and reliable disinfection of the port surface in 3 minutes. Once in place, Curos maintains a clean port for up to 7 days, if not removed.
