On the Heels of Several Tragic Deaths Attributed to 'Molly' and Deadly Designer Drugs Being Sold as 'Molly,' Dr. Mohammad and His Team of Addiction Experts at Malibu Horizon Launch Critical Public Awareness Campaign

The campaign is designed to specifically raise awareness about the deadly research chemicals being passed off as a purer and more heightened form of MDMA, and circulating through clubs, schools and communities across the globe. According to a , a large percentage of the 'Molly' being sold is not MDMA, but something far more sinister, which is causing users to have to the drug.
One of the world's foremost addiction experts and treatment pioneers, Dr. Mohammad said, "There is absolutely nothing new about drugs being sold with drastic impurities or 'cut' with inert ingredients to increase weight and therefore profit for drug dealers; however, what is happening across the globe with the 'Molly' phenomenon is far more sinister and deadly. Not only deadly because you may become addicted and your subsequent addiction may kill you, deadly because the research chemicals (mephedrone, methylenedioxypyrovalerone or MDPV, methylone) being sold as 'Molly' are the impure, untested, and lethal ingredients found in bath salts, 25-I, and a multitude of other designer drugs that are killing users; sometimes instantly." Mohammad added, "Since the research chemicals have a much longer half-life than other drugs, abusers stay under the influence longer, and after just a couple of days, a staggering number of users experience full psychotic breaks, which often result in extreme delusions, violent outbursts and severe depression. While popular culture is doing the marketing for 'Molly,' the dealers are pulling a bait and switch, which is killing users and leaving the rest of us with a grave problem to solve."
Dr. Mohammad's public awareness campaign is designed to inform users, communities, and addiction experts about what they're up against. Mohammad added, "While it is exciting to see movement in congress, the only viable plan of attack we have right now is awareness.
