PNE WIND AG: PNE WIND AG initiates the next stage in its co-operation
with the Forestry Commission Scotland

Cuxhaven, 9th October 2013 - PNE WIND UK is specifying its plans for the
development of wind farms in Scotland in co-operation with Forestry
Commission Scotland (FCS) in greater detail. Subsequent to the conclusion
of a partnership between PNE WIND and the FCS in January this year, the
first project locations have now reached the next planning stage. Planning
is concentrated on the Bachan Burn areas in the Cowal and Trossachs Forest
Districts and on Little Rig and Elrick in the Tay Forest District. PNE WIND
is developing these in close co-operation with the FCS and the local
communities. Wind farms with a total nominal output of between 100 and 200
MW are to be constructed on areas agreed and selected in agreement with the
FCS.
The Scottish Minister for Energy, Enterprise and Tourism, Fergus Ewing,
said: 'I welcome this partnership between Forestry Commission Scotland and
PNE WIND which could - subject to planning permission for any projects in
question - create significant opportunities for the surrounding
communities.'
