The following new capabilities and products will be showcased in detail at ® 2013, TIBCO's annual user conference, October 14-17, 2013, at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. This year's conference will support the largest number of Spotfire users to date.
With the consumerization of IT and increasingly mobile workforces, employees expect immediate access to accurate and relevant operational information wherever they are. That means the right information must be available at the right time, on the right device, and personalized to the individual. Spotfire 6.0 delivers on this need through an updated web client now called TIBCO Spotfire® Consumer, which presents up-to-date key performance indicators on a comprehensive range of mobile devices supporting capabilities such as offline KPI monitoring, contextual drill down and social collaboration. Support is provided for mobile phones, tablets, and laptops for iOS™, Android™, and Windows® 8 operating systems.
Spotfire 6.0 also allows for unprecedented speed and ease-of-use in visualizing, exploring, and analyzing data in the context of geographic information and maps. Users are able to expand situational understanding through the use of multi-layered maps, automatic geo-coding, and data overlay. This results in the rapid delivery of new analytic applications, which are easily understood, thus promoting self-service discovery and visibility into the unknown. Existing customers under maintenance will gain access to the new location analytic capabilities when upgrading to Spotfire 6.0.
Bridging the gap between simple dashboards and advanced analytic applications, Spotfire 6.0 provides a new client tailored to meet the needs of the everyday business user, who typically has struggled to manipulate pivot tables and charts to address their data discovery needs. With this new web application, known as TIBCO Spotfire® Business Author, business users can visually explore and interact with data, whether residing in a simple spreadsheet or dashboard, a database, or a predefined analytic application.
TIBCO Spotfire® Event Analytics is a new product that allows enterprises to automate the tracking and identification of new trends or outliers in business data, as they are generated. This real-time monitoring, powered by TIBCO's powerful event-processing technologies, triggers the automatic creation of analytic applications to enable management by exception, providing data analysts and decision-makers with the insight they need, as it develops, to further monitor important processes, such as quality control, customer churn, and productivity. This important coalescence of big data streams with analytics helps promote continuous improvement for the business and saves considerable time for the analyst to deliver value to the business.
TIBCO Spotfire® Cloud is a new set of cloud services for enterprises, work groups, and personal use. TIBCO Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise provides a secure full-featured version of Spotfire in the cloud to analyze and collaborate on business insights, whether or not the data is hosted.
