CSA Creates One of the First Fully Responsive Touch-Enabled Sites for an AmLaw100 Firm

With nearly 160 years of experience, Winston partnered with CSA to create a site that would reflect the depth of their practice areas and also illustrate the firm's vision for the future.
Early in the process CSA envisioned a device agnostic site, with content accessible on desktop, tablet or mobile devices. Winston's Senior Digital Media Manager, Katy von Treskow shares, "At Winston we felt we needed to communicate through our website, that in every form, we are on the cutting-edge of what's next. We trusted CSA to visualize this for us and execute on their vision of what the future holds for firm websites." By developing a platform that seamlessly translates from desktop to tablet to mobile, CSA crafted a site to heighten accessibility for the Winston audience.
The Winston & Strawn team invested in content production for the new site, seeking a platform that made it easy to quickly share and shift content. For the new site, CSA designed "poster pages" which are a gateway to more specialized content, specific to an office location or practice area. From there, visitors are able to easily save, share, print and distribute content directly from the website without navigating away from their current page. Articles and other content on the site are also easily shared on social platforms. Paul Pierson, CSA Partner and Design Director explains, "CSA believes law firm websites should be a valuable tool for their end users, not just the typical templated approach. Winston's site is a great example of bringing a new set of tools into the law firm space."
The custom color palette and infographic system CSA introduced boldly departs from the former Winston & Strawn website. A distinct visual style simplifies complicated statistics and immediately engages the firm's online audience. Motion design, infographics, and topical videos work together to provide insight into the people and practices that encompass the firm. These design elements communicate powerful messages in a compelling way.
Through design, CSA crafted a bold website for the legal sector, which engages and empowers.
