KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 14.10.2013 AT 09.00 1(2)
The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in September 2013 totalled ?775.5
million, down 4.0%.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in September were ?354.9 million, an increase of
2.5% compared to the previous year. In September, the number of delivery days
was one more than in the previous year.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in September were ?122.3 million,
a decrease of 12.0%. Sales performance was particularly impacted by the decrease
in department store sales, as well as network changes in Musta Pörssi and
Intersport Russia.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in September were ?238.9
million, a decrease of 5.8%. Excluding the impact of retailer changes in Norway,
the sales decreased by 0.4%. Sales in Finland were down 3.1%. Sales abroad
decreased by 7.8% in terms of euros and by 3.4% in terms of local currencies. In
September, the number of delivery days was one more than in the previous year.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in September were ?76.8 million, a
decrease of 10.0%. VV-Auto's sales in September were ?60.2 million, down 0.7%.
Konekesko's sales in September were ?16.6 million, a decrease of 32.9% from the
previous year.

Change, % indicates the change over the corresponding period of the previous
year.
In September 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland
was 21, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of
selling days in January-September was the same as in the previous year. The
number of retail selling days in September was 30, which was the same as in the
previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-September was
one less than in the previous year.
