Empea at Intergeo 2013 for Co-development of 360°Spherical Camera

Frankfurt a. Main, 15 October 2013 - China BPIC Surveying Instruments AG
('BPIC AG' or 'BPIC' or the 'Company'), one of the leading Chinese
surveying instruments manufacturers, and Empea, a leading technological
solution provider in Germany, today announced the future cooperation for
the development of a new hand-held 360 spherical camera targeting the
consumer market. A Letter of Intent (LOI) has been signed by the 2 parties
at the 19th INTEGEO and a formal agreement will be entered into
subsequently when reaching a certain milestone. This revolutionary
hand-held 360 spherical camera, if successfully developed, will become the
2nd product of BPIC which is targeting the European consumer market.
This collaboration combines Empea's technology and programming expertise
with BPIC's hardware design and software development capabilities to create
a powerful and innovative 360 image and video capturing consumer gadget,
allowing users to capture both static and motion pictures around them to
address the next-generation requirements towards image and video capturing.
BPIC will utilize its nationwide components sourcing network in China and
its own assembling base located in Beijing to manufacture this
state-of-the-art product.
Commenting on the signing of the LOI, Mr. Wei XIE, founder, Chairman and
General Manager of BPIC AG said: 'We are very excited to have signed this

According to Mr. XIE, the demand outlook for this hand-held 360 spherical
camera is expected to be promising. 'We believe this hand-held 360
spherical camera is likely to have a wide range of audience. Its ability to
capture the entire scene can provide users with an interesting way to
record and to share some joyful moments of life (e.g. travelling,
celebration, etc.) with friends,' Mr. XIE added.
In regard of the prospect of BPIC's business after the signing of LOI, Mr.
XIE said: 'The successful development of hand-held 360 spherical camera
will definitely help BPIC to further penetrate into the European consumer
market, following the upcoming launch of LDM-70 Handheld Laser Distance
Meter by the end of this year. We expect that this project will further
promote our BPIC brand in Europe and directly show our technology talent
and creativity to the world.'

BPIC AG is principally engaged in designing, manufacturing and selling of
surveying instruments under its own 'BPIC' brand in China. BPIC sells 4
types of products with a total of 6 different models, namely, Electronic
Total Station, Electronic Theodolite (including 2 models), Laser Electronic
Theodolite and Construction Cross-Liner Laser (including 2 models) to
domestic and overseas construction and engineering companies through
