Messe Düsseldorf launches second project with XCOM Africa GmbH
(PresseBox) - After a successful project about the food processing and packaging industry in Africa, Messe Düsseldorf launches a second project with XCOM Africa GmbH.
Messe Düsseldorf, as one of the largest trade fairs organizer, asked the consulting company XCOM Africa to launch a market research about the medical equipment industry in East Africa.
The successful project about the food processing and packaging industry attracted attention on Africa as location for exhibitions. The interest in the medical sector and the opportunities and trends in the future is due to the fact that the Messe Düsseldorf is organizing the largest medical fair worldwide.
In this context, XCOM Africa conducted a detailed market research of the East African Market with the focus on Kenya. The aim of the project was an overview of the exhibitor's potential and a better knowledge of the market for medical equipment.
With the support of local staff, the medical sector could be closely examined, although current political changes hampered the flow of information. Nevertheless, interviews with persons in charge were conducted. The result was a database with relevant companies, governmental- and non-governmental-organizations. Furthermore, XCOM Africa presented the current state of the medical supply, current trends in the medical sector and the supplychain.
This information gave on orientation for the Messe Düsseldorf to determine the degree of attractiveness for its exhibitors and helped to make future decision with the background of a detailed market research.
