AV Homes Announces a New Master-Planned Community in Florida
New Kissimmee Community to Be Named Waterview
(firmenpresse) - ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 10/28/13 -- AV Homes, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVHI) has announced the development of Waterview, a new 282-acre master-planned community in Kissimmee, Florida.
Located just south of the intersection of Highway 17-92 and S. Poinciana Boulevard, Waterview will feature single-family homes with an estimated starting price in the $180s. Waterview will offer 10 new home designs with living space ranging from 1,800 to 3,400 square-feet with popular features such as multi-generational suites, bonus rooms and three-car garages. Planned amenities include an expansive clubhouse with a pool, a playground and walking paths throughout the community. Residents of Waterview will enjoy close proximity to schools, easy access to I-4, a proposed SunRail station, as well as short commutes to metro Orlando and nearby Disney World attractions.
Upon completion, Waterview will encompass approximately 527 single-family homes. AV Homes anticipates that pre-sales will begin in January 2014 with grand opening slated for June 2014. Waterview will complement AV Homes' other successful Florida communities at nearby Bellalago, Bella Pointe and Solivita.
AV Homes, Inc. was formed in 1970. It is best known for the development of Poinciana, an award-winning 47,000-acre master-planned community near Orlando, Florida. Today, the company is engaged in homebuilding, land development and other real estate operations in Florida and Arizona with its new Carolinas division already in development of its first community. Its principal operations are currently located at Solivita near Orlando, and CantaMia near Phoenix. It currently builds homes for people of all ages including active adult communities intended for those 55 years and older in both the Central Florida and Phoenix metro homebuilding markets.
