Technical Presentation Addressing MEF Defined Services for Advanced Small Cell Deployments


(firmenpresse) - CAMARILLO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/04/13 -- (NASDAQ: VTSS), a leading provider of advanced IC solutions for and , announced that Lars Ellegaard, principal engineer and systems architect at Vitesse, will participate alongside other technology experts at the International Wireless Industry Consortium (IWPC) 2013 taking place from November 12-14, 2013 in Turin, Italy.

This IWPC workshop, which convenes global carriers, vendors, technology and research experts, will explore the operational aspects of advanced small cell deployment, cloud technologies, and the impact of these developments on next-generation wireless networks. Agenda topics include review of leading-edge technologies to prepare the evolving networks, as well as future deployment scenarios.

Mr. Ellegaard will present during the "Enabling Technologies" portion of the agenda on November 14, 2013 at 3:40 p.m. local time. His session, "Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Defined Services in Support of Single and Multi-Operator Small Cell Deployment," will examine the challenges of delivering , , and over deployments, including backhaul and sharing, and co-location backhaul scenarios. Mr. Ellegaard will also review available technologies to solve these network challenges.

Mr. Ellegaard has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and is a recognized industry expert in Ethernet systems architecture for communications networks. He holds an industrial doctorate in high-speed optical systems from Technical University of Denmark.
