Berlin, 11/06/2013 - The European MOOC platform iversity.org was launched
on 15 October 2013 with more than 100,000 students. Just three weeks after
the launch, the number of students at iversity.org has doubled to more than
200,000.
Particularly in order to expand additional marketing activities and to
publicise the courses, iversity had previously raised additional funds in a
round of financing in which C.R.A.L.S. GmbH, pz GmbH and West Tech Ventures
GmbH participated as new partners. bmp media investors AG (ISIN

increased their investment in this context.
iversity's initial curriculum comprises 25 online university courses by top
professors from Europe and the USA, with nine courses already having gone
live.
Compared to US competitors, iversity has the advantage that German and
European students can earn ECTS credits for some courses. Furthermore,
iversity has excellent knowledge of the European market conditions and has
optimised the platform to meet the relevant requirements.
The three biggest MOOCs at iversity.org are:
'The Future of Storytelling' from Potsdam University of Applied Sciences
with more than 70,000 students
