PCCA Awards Peter Koshland, PharmD, With George Roentsch Scholarship
Annual Scholarship Awarded to Independent Pharmacist Who Embodies the Innovative and Sharing Nature of Roentsch
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 11/15/13 -- Peter Koshland, PharmD, president and CEO of Koshland Pharm: Custom Compounding Pharmacy was recently awarded with the George Roentsch Scholarship by the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA). Koshland received the award from San Francisco via broadcast during PCCA's International Seminar, held in Sugar Land, Texas on October 26, 2013.
The scholarship is awarded annually to an independent pharmacist and PCCA member who embodies the innovative and sharing nature of George Roentsch, a well-known pharmacist in the compounding community.
George Roentsch, RPh, owner/pharmacist of The Apothecary in Keene, N.H., is fondly remembered for his work, which advanced the art and science of custom-made prescription medications. Roentsch demonstrated both a passion for the art and science of custom-made prescription medications, as well as sharing ideas and formulas with fellow compounders.
Koshland received the George Roenstch Scholarship after being nominated by his peers. Koshland was chosen for the scholarship because of his commitment to high quality compounding, to continuing education and to collaboration with fellow compounding pharmacists.
