The Group, driven by its strong performance in Brazil, has achieved a market
share close to 40%
Paris-November 19th, 2013. Ingenico (Euronext: FR0000125346 ING), the leading
worldwide provider of payment solutions, continues leading the Latin American
market with almost 40% of the terminals shipments delivered in 2012, according
to The Nilson Report.
Ingenico confirms its leadership position in Latin America. The results are
based on solid and strong performance anchored in Brazil and supported by the
other countries in the region, which year by year become increasingly
representative on the global result.
In Latin America, Ingenico sold more than 1.3 million terminals in 2012. The
company portfolio is comprehensive, from countertops to wireless and mobile
payment solutions, covering all customer requirements and segments on a
challenging and growing market.
Ingenico' success is the result of the contribution of more than 250 employees
in Latin America, focused on supporting some of the company's most important
customers: Cielo, Rede, GetNet, Elavon and Global Payments.
After focusing on the electronic payment market, the company now aims to pursue
other verticals, such as government, e-ID and healthcare.
