Vancouver, British Columbia – Majestic Gold Corp. (TSX.V: MJS, FSE: A0BK1D) (“Majestic” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the seven nominee directors named in the Concerned Shareholder Information Circular dated November 8, 2013 were elected as directors of the Company by over 99% of the votes cast at today’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (“AGM”). As a result, the board of directors of Majestic is now comprised of Gengshu Miao, Shaohui Chen, Paul Reynolds, Grant Chen, John Campbell, Stephen Kenwood and Lorne Hunter. Mr. Miao will continue in his role as Chair of the Board, Mr. Reynolds has been confirmed as President and Chief Executive Officer, and James Mackie, who recently stepped down as a director, will continue as Chief Financial Officer and has also been appointed as Corporate Secretary.
At the AGM, shareholders also approved the re-appointment of Dale Matheson Carr-Hilton Labonte LLP as the Company’s auditors, the Company’s Stock Option Plan and the alteration of the Company’s articles to include advance notice requirements and to allow the Company to make use of the notice and access procedures. Shareholders did not approve the adoption of new articles.
A total of 569,117,522 shares, representing 67.77% of the Company’s 839,765,216 outstanding shares, were voted at the AGM. The Board sincerely thanks shareholders for their tremendous support in effecting change at Majestic.
