Silicon Sensor Wins Significant Supplier Contract
Berlin, Aug. 16th, 2010
Silicon Micro Sensors GmbH, an 85 % subsidiary of Silicon Sensor
International AG (ISIN DE0007201907 / WKN: 720190), successfully concluded
negotiations with a significant automotive industry supplier on delivery of
sensor based high-end camera systems. The supply contract comprises an
annual volume up to EUR 1.2 million.
The camera system is an integrated part of the automotive manufacturer's
advanced driver assistance system. The system will initially be installed
in two different car series. An expansion of the integration of the camera
in other car series is intended. Start of production is expected in
mid-2011.
Based on a proprietiary patented camera design Silicon Micro Sensors GmbH
realized a state of the art development in miniaturization and highest
reliability under extreme temperature conditions. The camera will be
produced in the companies own clean rooms in Dresden.
