HAMBORNER REIT AG acquires commercial building in Lemgo
Duisburg, August 16, 2010 - The firm HAMBORNER REIT AG has acquired the
purchase agreement for a commercial building in a top A1 location in the
Mittelstrasse pedestrian zone in Lemgo. The purchase price is approx.
EUR6.8 million, with the initial gross rate of return being around 7%. In
2010 the former Hertie department store is being completely rebuilt for the
tenants Hennes&Mauritz and C&A and now has a total rental area of around
4600 m². C&A have already opened their shop, with the opening of H&M being
planned for the end of 2010.
On the seller's side is the project developer Amandla from Iserlohn. The
property sale was mediated by the firm SQM Property Consulting from
Münster.
HAMBORNER REIT AG intends to continue expanding into the asset classes of
retail and office properties. Since the beginning of the year HAMBORNER has
been able to invest a volume of around EUR90 million in new, attractive
properties.
