iQ Power Wins Automechanika Innovation Award 2010?Special recognition for the innovative ECO starter battery and its
automatic electrolyte mixing feature
Zug/Switzerland, 26 August 2010 - iQ Power GmbH, the wholly owned
subsidiary of iQ Power AG (ISIN: CH0020609688, WKN: A0DQVL, Symbol: IQPB),
will be receiving the Automechanika Innovation Award 2010 for its
remarkable new ECO starter battery with automatic electrolyte mixing. The
award will be presented to the company during the Automechanika trade fair
in Frankfurt on 14 September. This award has been given regularly since
1996. An independent jury of industry experts confers the award to
recognize outstanding technical achievements and product innovations in the
automotive aftermarket sector. This year eight winners in nine categories
were chosen from a total of 147 product entries.
iQ Power is the developer and marketer of eco-friendly and technologically
advanced starter batteries for motor vehicles. iQ Power GmbH won the award
in the 'Parts' category with its ECO starter battery and innovative,
automatic electrolyte mixing feature. These cutting-edge batteries prevent
the loss of capacity caused by acid stratification. And because the
batteries need less lead, they also reduce their overall weight by 10 to 15
percent, which in turn means less fuel consumption. Overall, ECO batteries
also cause fewer CO2 emissions throughout their entire life cycle.
Electrolyte mixing improves cycle stability and extends the battery's
service life. And, depending on the model, the batteries also come with a
full warranty of from three to five years.

The awards presentation will be held on 14 September at 10:00 am during the
official opening ceremonies of Automechanika 2010 (Messe Frankfurt, Hall 4,
Europa Room). The winner of each category will be hosting a special
exhibition. iQ Power GmbH will be exhibiting at booth F12 in hall 3.1.
