Zurich, November 29, 2013 - Burghard Schneider will take over as Head of the
Glass Processing Systems business unit (Bystronic glass) on February 1, 2014.
Burghard Schneider gained a doctorate at the Technical University of Munich in
the field of machine construction with a focus on process optimization. He
gained his first experience in the glass industry through scientific cooperation
projects. He then served for ten years in a number of leading positions at the
German special glass manufacturer Schott AG. During this time, he opened up new
markets for the company, in both technological and regional terms. Burghard
Schneider currently works for the international Felss Group, which is active in
machinery and systems engineering. Burghard Schneider, who is 47 years of age
and a German national, will lead the Glass Processing Systems business unit from
the Hamberg site.
André Brütsch, who currently heads Bystronic glass, is leaving the Group by
mutual agreement to pursue a new challenge outside Conzzeta AG.
